Garnet Sand Blast Media

Garnet, also known as "jade sand" or "natural diamond sand", has strong hardness and good acid and alkali resistance. It is an island-shaped aluminum (calcium) silicate with beautiful colors. After high-purity magnetic separation, there are many kinds of chromosomes such as gray, red, green, and white. 1. Garnet is an aluminum (calcium) silicate with an island structure and is one of the natural abrasive minerals. According to different components, it can be divided into various types such as iron aluminum, calcium aluminum, magnesium aluminum, calcium iron, and manganese aluminum garnet. This type of mineral is rarely produced in a single type, and is mostly a mixture of more than two types, among which iron aluminum has the highest hardness.

2. Garnet has high hardness (Mohs hardness 7.5-8), good crystal shape, and sharp edges after crushing. It is suitable for natural abrasives and sandblasting polishing materials.

3. Garnet has good strength, strong friction resistance, does not contain free silica, has high density, does not contain organic matter, and can be used as a sand layer filter material, with anthracite on the top, quartz sand in the middle, and garnet at the bottom.

It is mainly used for metal polishing in the manufacture of aircraft, ships, and automobiles, polishing of high-quality furniture, polishing of cathode ray tubes, polishing of ceramics and glass, polishing of leather and rubber, and in the production process of aluminum profiles instead of acid corrosion, and removing water impurities in swimming pools.

4. Garnet has a high density and does not contain organic matter. It can be used as a sand-layer filter material, with anthracite on the top, quartz sand in the middle, and garnet at the bottom.
