Zirconia Alumina

Zirconia alumina abrasive (ZA) based on aluminum, zirconium material is given priority to, after 2250 ℃ high temperature smelting, to mark the special processing technology and through forming. According to the content of ZrO2, generally have low zirconium corundum (ZrO2 10-15%), zirconium corundum (ZrO2 25%) and high in zircon corundum (ZrO2 40%). Zirconium corundum main crystal phase for alpha Al2O3, phase for the baddeleyite, there is a small amount of glass phase. Zirconium corundum and tough, compact structure, high strength, good thermal shock resistance, generally in taupe. In order to ensure the quality of zircon corundum, except for the reasonable selection of smelting parameters and process, cooling process and processing technology, choose the appropriate additive, reduce the SIO2 content in zircon corundum, make of Al2O3 and ZrO2 eutectic and uniform structure, etc. Also is the key of zircon corundum production.

It is specially used in tough grinding applications such as high pressure grinding for steel conditioning, foundry and snagging, large, organic grinding wheels for the steel conditioning industry, snagging wheels, track grinding and large diameter cut off thin wheels grinding and other grinding applications which requires high speed and pressure. Also used for granite sandblasting of headstone.

1.The hardness of zirconia alumina with 40 content is lower than that of 25 content, and the higher the alumina content, the higher the hardness.

2.The self-sharpening property of 40% zirconium corundum is better than that of 25% and is suitable for cutting discs and coated abrasives.

3.Zirconium corundum with a content of 25 is suitable for heavy-duty grinding.
