Pink Aluminum Oxide

Pink aluminum oxide (PA) is a product that shows a beautiful pink or ruby color, it is made from metallurgical grade chromium green and industrial alumina by chemical reaction at the high temperature above 2000℃, pink fused alumina is good in manufacturing vitrified abrasives for working hardened steels and alloys.

Its main material is bayer alumina, which is electrically fused in high temperature, being added with the right quantity of oxidized chromium, it is pink. Its hardness is close to but toughness higher than that of White fused alumina WFA (White fused aluminum oxide). The abrasive tools made of it feature excellent durability and high processing cleanness, which are suitable for the precision grinding of the measuring rools, lathe main shafts, instruments and apparatus parts, threading workpieces and samplers etc.

Pink aluminum oxide especially used for manufacturing vitrified bonded wheels for working hardened steels and alloys, and also used in tool grinding, saw and knife sharpening stones, precision grinding, tooth grinding dry grinding of blade segments, mounted wheels, as well as all kinds of mounted points. Used in dry and wet blasting applications particularly aerospace and nuclear.

In general, pink corundum bricks refer to sintered chrome corundum bricks. Using α-Al2O3 as raw material, add appropriate amount of chromium oxide powder and chromium corundum clinker powder, after molding, it is fired at high temperature. The chromium oxide content of sintered chromium corundum bricks is generally lower than that of fused cast chromium corundum bricks. It can also be prepared by slurry pouring method. Mix α-Al2O3 powder and chromium oxide powder evenly, add gelling agent and organic binder to make thick slurry, and add part of chrome corundum clinker at the same time, and make bricks by grouting method. Fire again. It can be used as the inner lining of glass kiln, the cover brick of drawing glass flow hole, and the back lining of molten iron pretreatment device, garbage incinerator, coal water slurry pressurized gasifier, etc.
