Products Description
Garnet sand is made from garnet ore after crushing and screening. It has high hardness, wear resistance, acid and alkali resistance, high melting point and large specific gravity. It is a cost-effective abrasive product.
The elemental composition of garnet sand is usually divided into aluminum series and calcium series. The common crystal types of aluminum series are: aluminum-magnesium garnet sand-Mg3AI2(SIO4)3, iron-aluminum garnet sand-Fe3AI2(SIO4)3 and manganese-aluminum garnet sand Mn3AI2(SIO4)3; the common garnet sands of calcium series are: calcium-aluminum garnet sand-Ca3AI2(SIO4)3, calcium-iron garnet sand Ca3Fe2(SIO4)3 and calcium-chromium garnet sand Ca3Cr2(SIO4)3.

Products Applications
1. Sandblasting - garnet abrasive has moderate hardness, high bulk density, no free silica, high specific gravity, good toughness, and is an ideal "environmentally friendly" sandblasting material;
2. Free grinding - grinding-grade garnet abrasive is used for free grinding in the fields of picture tubes, optical glass, single crystal silicon, lenses, watch glass, crystal glass, jade, etc., and is a commonly used grinding material in China;
3. Resin abrasives - garnet abrasives have suitable color, good hardness, toughness, suitable particle cross-section type and edge retention, and can be used as a filler to replace 20%-30% brown corundum in resin abrasives, with ideal results;
4. Coated abrasives - garnet abrasives are the raw materials for sandpaper, gauze and other manufacturers;
5. Functional fillers - mainly used in automotive brake parts, special tires, special building products and other fields, and can be used as wear-resistant materials for the construction of highway pavements, runways, docks, parking lots, industrial floors, sports venues, etc;
6. Filter media - a new application field of garnet. Granular garnet is used as the bottom medium of the filter bed to purify drinking water or wastewater. It is a new water filtration material at home and abroad, especially suitable for non-ferrous metal beneficiation: oil drilling mud weighting agent;
