Calcined alumina is generally used in the manufacture of high-grade ceramic shapes, refractories and fused alumina abrasives. It can be compressed to produce a fired density of 3.8 or more (with the right particle size distribution). Amazingly, ceramic bodies containing 95% or more alumina are being employed to produce ceramic parts for a wide range of industries (fired to 1400C or more). Fabrication methods and glazing vary according to application.
Alumina has a very high melting temperature (about 2000C) and alumina ceramics can maintain up to 90% of their strength above 1100C. They are thus employed in many refractory materials (i.e. Calcium Aluminate Cements have PCEs above cone 35) and used to make parts that must withstand high temperatures.

Our company's AW series of α-AL2O3 powder is the national project achievement and has passed the national technical appraisal. It uses a unique process and possesses the characteristics of high activity, small grains and high conversion rate.
Character:
Small grain size :After calcining, the alumina can be converted into alpha size (the smallest grain size 300 nm), so that it has better sintering activity.
High activity:Using patent technology and special calcinated process to make the alumina with high sintering activity after calcining.
High conversation rate:the conversation rate varies from 92% to 99% depending on the application of the alpha alumina.
High purity : Low content of potassium and sodium (0.04 ~ 0.06%) refractory alumina powder, which makes it have higher working temperature and working strength.

Good liquidity:
1. During the calcining, the microcrystalline phase patent technology is used to make the grain smaller of alpha alumina , and fill effect better in castable refractory.
2.The crystal morphology of alpha alumina has been effectively controlled, grain surface is approximate ball type or ball type.
3. The distribution of grain size is effectively controlled and optimized, so that it has excellent liquidity.
High strength: strong binder at high temperature , ceramic products with high strength.
