Brown Fused Aluminum Oxide(BFA) (Al2O3)

Brown fused alumina is a tough, long-lasting material. Its color is brown because its impurity level is slightly higher than that of white corundum. With a Mohs hardness of 9, brown corundum is a high-strength wear-resistant material with the ability to resist strong chemical attack (such as acids and alkalis) at extreme temperatures. Typical applications for brown corundum include sandblasting and grinding.
