DESCRIPTION OF PINK FUSED ALUMINA

The main component of chrome corundum is α-alumina, also known as red corundum. Most of the red corundum on the market is artificial. The main mineral composition of chrome corundum is α-Al2O3-Cr2O3 solid solution, and the secondary mineral composition is a small amount of composite spinel and refractory bricks with a chromium oxide content of 1% to 30%.

There are two types of fused chrome corundum bricks and sintered chrome corundum bricks.

In general, chrome corundum bricks refer to sintered chrome corundum bricks. Take α-Al2O3 as the raw material, add an appropriate amount of chromium oxide powder and chrome corundum clinker fine powder, form it, and sinter it at high temperature. The chromium oxide content of sintered chrome corundum bricks is generally lower than that of fused chrome corundum bricks.

It can also be prepared by slurry casting method, α-Al2O3 powder and chromium oxide powder are evenly mixed, and a debonding agent and an organic binder are added to make a thick slurry. At the same time, part of the chrome corundum clinker is added, and the bricks are made by grouting method and then sintered. It can be used as glass kiln lining, brushed glass flow hole cover bricks and for molten iron pretreatment equipment, waste incinerators, water-coal slurry pressurized gasification furnace backing, etc.
