Advantages of white corundum whetstones include:

Extremely high hardness: can ensure the flatness and precision of tool grinding.

The particles are not easily broken: long life.
Good self-sharpening: strong grinding ability, low heat generation and high efficiency.

Resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, high temperature resistance, good thermal stability: suitable for home use.
Does not affect the color of the workpiece: suitable for use in processes where iron powder residue is strictly prohibited. 
The micro-powder grade is suitable for wet sandblasting and polishing operations: fast processing speed and high quality.
The amount of iron oxide contained is extremely low: suitable for sandblasting operations where iron residue is strictly prohibited.

Disadvantages of white corundum whetstones include:

Higher price: Compared with other sharpening stones, the cost is higher. 15
The abrasive particle size is not as uniform as silicon carbide: independent grain problems are prone to occur.

Advantages: White fused alumina whetstone is crystallized by electrofusion method, has high purity, good self-sharpening, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and stable thermal performance. The hardness is slightly higher than brown corundum, the toughness is slightly lower, the grinding ability is strong, the calorific value is small, and the efficiency is high. Disadvantages: not cheap
